Senior Accounts Payable Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to become an integral part of our organisation. Reporting directly to the COO, this will be a challenging role, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy and is an excellent opportunity for the right person to build and develop their career.

As the Senior Accounts Payable Officer your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Perform day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities and provide efficient service
  • Process and reconcile payments and expenditures, including invoices and bank payments in multiple currencies
  • Bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies
  • Intercompany transfers
  • Assisting the Company’s accountant with reports for preparing of tax reporting, P&L reporting, and Balance Sheets
  • Management of Trust account
  • BAS
  • Backup to Payroll
  • Mange the Company’s PI and Business insurances
  • Liaise with banking partners with regards to the day-to-day banking requirements, and debt facilities
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices and receipts.
  • Processing credit cards, personal payments and expense reclaims.
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Generation of weekly/monthly reports
  • Liaise with internal and external contacts
  • Continuously improve payment processes

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role as well as the following skills and experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience within an accounts payable role
  • Experience in MYOB
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience in ledger reconciliations
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with people at all levels
