Job Details

The role includes being responsible for managing and completing assignments for subsequent partner review.  The Manager/Senior Manager will have the responsibility for managing many assignments for different appointees across Australia. 

The Manager/Senior Manager will assist in being a point of contact for services provided by Hall Chadwick in Victoria and therefore in time will require to have a good understanding of service offerings and where to direct same if required. 

Ideally, you will be developing a referral network and with the support of Hall Chadwick can assist with growing your own brand and the brand of Hall Chadwick in Victoria.   

 

Skills and Experiences: 
  • Ideally you will have 5+ years experience in Corporate Insolvency.  You should have already started and/or completed your C/?CPA and ARITA studies.
  • Corporate Insolvency experience in managing a number of files, liaising with creditors/stakeholders in various administrations and experience in all types of assignments including Court Liquidations, VA's CVL's and Receiverships.
  • Enjoy networking and meeting new potential referrals to the organisation.
 
Salary package will be commensurate with experience.

Audit Manager/Supervisor Sydney - 2.09.2020

Job Details

Hall Chadwick is one of Australia's leading mid-tier chartered accounting firms providing professional services in the areas of Audit, Business Services Advisory, Insolvency and Tax.

We are looking for an Audit Manager/Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising and completing audit assignments for subsequent manager or partner review.  You will be the primary point of contact and have responsibility for the control of the audit fieldwork.  It is important that you demonstrate initiative and sound judgement to ensure the smooth running of the audit, provide direction and guidance to junior staff on assignment and completion of audit in line with time and budgetary requirements. 

 

Where necessary, you will also be required to assist the manager or partner in the performance of special assignments and reports as and when required. 

 

Criteria to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must: 
  • Minimum of 3 years audit experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm within the audit division;
  • Relevant academic qualifications;
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices;
  • Working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards and other applicable legislation;
  • Experience with Caseware preferred;
  • Experience in managing and reviewing work of a small engagement team;
  • An ability to work autonomously with demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to build strong relationships with clients.

Our Business Services division has an outstanding reputation for providing personalised and specialised services to suit our multifaceted range of national, international and multinational clients year round.  Our team is comprised of highly approachable partners, directors and managers, who take great care of their staff and clients.

 

We require a Senior Accountant to join our firm located in Sydney's CBD.  The successful candidate will be part of a national organisation which caters to small to large, local and international businesses.  

 

Duties include completing activity statements, year-end financial statements and tax returns for a wide range of entities.

 

Do you recognise some of these strengths in you: 
  • Must have 4 plus years local experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm within the business services division. 
  • Must be a CA qualified, or approaching qualification.
  • Have experience in the preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and companies in wide range of industries, along with all common reporting requirements for small and large entities.
  • Have experience in the preparation of FBT returns;
  • Have experience in the preparation of BAS's and payroll tax;
  • Prefer experience with Solution 6, MYOB AE, Xero, MYOB and/or QuickBooks preferable, but not essential;
  • Knowledge in local and international entities, including exposure to international dealing schedules.
  • Have exposure to Div 7a and groups of sizes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong collaborative and team relationship building skills;
  • Strong delegation and mentoring skills towards junior staff.
  • Excellent quality control and work papers are necessity;
