With 10 years of Insolvency experience, Joanna has joined Hall Chadwick as Manager of the firm’s newly opened office in Darwin, Northern Territory.
K Joanna initially began her career at the Insolvency Service in London, a department within the UK government, working on cases with high public interest. She then moved into a private practice where she specialized in investigating contentious insolvencies involving allegations of fraud and recovery of assets in various world wide locations. Throughout Joanna’s experience, she has also been involved in managing personal insolvencies, this includes both high profile and deceased estates.
In 2012 Joanna relocated to Darwin, where in addition to dealing with insolvency matters, she gained valuable experience in working with companies to help restructure businesses in remote indigenous communities and providing commercial advice to aboriginal corporations.
Joanna has been exposed and is able to provide professional advice on a full spectrum of insolvency and recovery issues, this includes bankruptcies and trade-ons but also on pre-insolvency restructurings that would preserve the long-term value of businesses for creditors and stakeholders..
